Panasonic Toyota Racing takes a step into the unknown this weekend with the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix. Not only is this the first time the city state has hosted the Formula 1 World Championship, it is also the first time a Grand Prix has been held at night.

Former F1 and TV star Martin Brundle has been lured into making his racing comeback by Goodwood for this weekend’s cult Revival event (19-21 September). The prestigious retro motor racing spectacular will be awash with legendary cars, bikes, planes and heroes set in an authentic time warp background at the glorious Goodwood track in West Sussex.

Toyota Motorsport GmbH expresses its profound sadness at the untimely death of Ove Andersson, aged 70.
He was involved in an accident whilst competing in the Milligan Vintage Trial, when the classic car he was driving suffered a frontal collision around a blind corner.

In the build up to the 2008 Monaco Grand Prix, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and Steinmetz, creators of the world’s finest diamonds, are proud to announce the continuation of their long-running partnership.
This year Steinmetz has worked closely with the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen, in creating their own personalised race helmets, which both drivers will use throughout the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. Lewis and Heikki’s helmets have been custom-made to their tastes after working closely with Steinmetz’s in-house designers. Each helmet has the signature of the driver pavéd with a line of hundreds of Steinmetz’s handcrafted diamonds.

Super Aguri Formula One Team has today announced its withdrawal from the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship.
Participating in Formula One since the 2006 season, the Team, which scored its first championship points after only 22 races (Spanish Grand Prix, 2007) and finished ninth overall in the 2007 Constructors’ Championship, will cease all activities as of 6th May 2008.

Honda Racing F1 Team to the Kingdom of Bahrain for its only visit to the
Middle East of the year. The 56-lap Bahrain Grand Prix takes place at
the Bahrain International Circuit, which is located 20 kilometres south
of the Kingdom’s capital, Manama, and is one of eight tracks on this
year’s calendar designed by Hermann Tilke.
